Diocesan feast Sts Philip and James and Haiti’s Labor Day

May 1 is the celebration of Labor Day in Haiti. It is a very special day for Diocese of Jacmel, it is the day we celebrate the feast of Sts. Philip and James. This day there is no work and it is holiday for all. The Cathedral Parish celebrates with the people of God inviting the Police Chief, and all politicians.

The Church was decorated so beautifully.
Auxiliary Bishop Wismick Jean Charles, Archdiocese of Port au Prince was the invited main celebrant.
Every priest had the same beautiful vestment with
Sts. Philip and James

The offertory procession was a procession of the fruits and vegetables from the earth.

The choir was beautiful filling all of Jacmel with the sound of God’s glory!
