Bon Fet, Sé Marilyn
On Sunday, July 27, we celebrated Sr. Marilyn’s feastday/birthday, and took the opportunity for our kids to thank God for this past school year. The kids who passed to the next grade brought their report cards, which were carried in procession to the altar in thanksgiving for God’s graces and blessings. Before the closing blessing of Mass, Fr. Limond blessed the crosses that were given to us by our Sisters in Holly, MI. We understand that the crosses were made by a gentlemen from that area.
There were so many who gathered for the Bon Fet that we had no room left in the chapel, so some who joined us had to stand outside on the corridor. After Mass all enjoyed cake, cookies, soda, chocolate and their favorite popcorn! We also did some dancing!
Something new on our compound!
Finally we were able to prepare a multi-purpose room for our kids. As you can see in the pictures, we had a large table and benches made. This area will be used for eating, learning and studying. We are going to install an overhead light fixture so in the evening our young people will be able to study. Up until now, they have been studying under the streetlight, when we have city electricity. Thanks to our inverter, we will be able to share our light with our kids. We thank God for all those who helped to make this possible.
