Blessing and Dedication of the Felician Haiti Mission

12 Oct

On Wednesday, October 10, the feast of Blessed Mary Angela, finally arrived; and all was ready for our home and mission to be blessed and dedicated. Everyone had their part to play in making this day special.

Preparation of the altar and sacred space…

Last minute practicing…

The Celebration of the Holy Eucharist began with us giving an introduction, sharing the blessings and power of God’s presence and His call. Mother Angela’s legacy and spirit lives in this place.

The Assembly was filled with our friends and priests.

The Word of God was proclaimed in Creole and English.

Our youth danced before the Lord.

We were playing and singing for the Lord.

TThe children’s celebration began in the afternoon with prayer and song, honoring Blessed Mary Angela. Then, directed by the young people, the children feasted on the buffet food.

What a wonderful celebration.  God is good and your hands are doing his deeds of love for all of his creation. I am sitting in a park in Paris dreaming of someday seeing a similar park in Haiti.  Wish I was there, sorry I couldn’t be.
