Klinik Manman Angela goes to Bwa Béf
Yesterday Sister Mary Charlotte from Lodi, NJ, and Sister Mary Andrew from Beaver Falls, PA, arrived in Jacmel to help us in the mission for two weeks. Today they came with us for Mass in Bwa Bef, where we needed to speak with the people about Klinik Manman Angela, which would be coming to this area to serve the poor. The people have no church so the Mass was in front of someone’s home. This is where the clinic will take place for the people in this area who otherwise have no access to medical care. After Mass, we spoke to the people about the clinic that will come every two weeks. Now the clinic is going to eight places where the poor can be served. Mesi Bondye mesi! Thank you, God! We also thank our benefactors who help us and support the clinic.
A chance to get a physical
On Friday, September 5 our young children and teens were able to have a physical in the Klinik Manman Angela with our team. Some of our kids have respiratory illnesses and infections that were not discovered before. We thank God for this opportunity to do this for them.

Remembering Mother Teresa with the Missionaries of Charity in Jacmel
On Friday, September 5, we celebrated the feast of Mother Teresa of Calcutta with our dear Missionaries of Charity in Jacmel. Mass was celebrated by Bishop Launay in a new center built for the special needs children and teens for which the Sisters care. About 400 people were in attendance; all were those the sisters serve, the poorest of the poor. The words of the Gospel were fulfilled…when you have a banquet, invite the poor and those from the streets. May we learn from Mother Teresa’s compassion and love for all God’s people, especially the poorest of the poor.
“Let us more and more insist on raising funds of love, of kindness, of understanding, of peace. Money will come if we seek first the Kingdom of God – the rest will be given.”
– Mother Teresa
Getting a head start!
School begins in Haiti on Monday, September 8. Since many of our kids did not pass, we wanted to give them a head start as they prepare to return to school. Our teens, whose schooling we sponsor by paying tuition and buying books or uniforms, are helping those children who did not pass to the next grade level.
